Business Strategy
In my approach to business strategy, I blend creativity with analytical insight to craft solutions that are both innovative and strategic By leveraging my background in advertising and branding, I explore new ideas while staying focused on driving measurable results. This balance allows me to develop strategies that not only push boundaries but also deliver sustainable business value.
CONVERGE ATL
A non-profit I co-founded to connect creative communities in Atlanta
As President and co-founder of CONVERGE ATL, I have gained invaluable experience in business strategy, especially in the context of nonprofit management. One of the most significant aspects of founding Converge ATL was developing a clear business plan to guide the organization's mission, structure, and long-term goals.
CONVERGE has hosted a handful of creative engagements, including a kickoff event with 500+ people, a letters of kindness workshop focused on giving beautifully designed artwork to children in hospitals in Atlanta, and a gallery fundraiser event with a silent art auction.
In addition to the business plan, I regularly performed SWOT analyses to assess CONVERGE ATL's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. This process allows me to make informed decisions about how to position our organization within the creative community in Atalnta, identify areas of growth, and mitigate potential risks that could hinder our progress.
I have also developed financial projections and fundraising plans for the general organization and specific events to ensure the sustainability of our initiatives. Working in the nonprofit sector, it was essential to balance our creative vision with financial realities, so I became adept at creating realistic budgets, forecasting expenses, and planning for diverse revenue streams, including donations, sponsorships, and event-driven income.
Through these business-oriented tasks, I learned the importance of strategic thinking and adaptability, both of which are crucial in any business environment.
IN PROGRESS - I am currently serving as a Senior Brand Strategist on a collaborative project with the Atlanta Mayors Office, Savi Provisions, and IGA through SCAD. A team of 50+ students have been brought together and tasked with designing and branding an affordable grocery store for a food desert in Atlanta near Olympic park. This team include advertising, graphic design, interior design, UX, photography, illustration, animation, business, and film majors all coming together to work collaboratively.
My role in this project is to serve in a team oversight capacity and translate findings, insights, and progress across the various teams. I am also working on broader brand strategy as part of the advertising department, which requires a heavy amount of business research into the feasibility of our design ideas related to this undertaking.
Designing & Branding a Grocery Store for Atlanta
Throughout the duration of a quarter at SCAD, I worked with an incredible team of students to research, and design changes to the concept of a reusable water bottle to support and promote sustainability. This culminated in a paper outlining our findings from first and second hand research.
